
Hi there! My name is Dr. Sara Etheredge and I have spent the last 9 years of my career as a physical therapist, treating patients with headaches and neck pain. Whether it be tips and tricks I have learned over the years, new technology options, exercises, or an exciting new research article, this is the spot where you can learn how to better self manage your pain.
Personally, I started having daily headaches and neck pain after I was in a car crash when I was in college. I was 20 years old and dealing with chronic pain while preparing to graduate and continue my studies to earn my Doctor of Physical Therapy degree. I remember months that turned into years of constant gnawing pain that would flare into headaches several times a week. When times were good, I could ignore my pain and when times were bad, I would feel so angry, frustrated and hopeless that I was still dealing with symptoms from an accident that happened years ago. This personal experience is what drove me to specialize in treating headaches and neck pain, with a special interest in chronic pain. Today, I m happy to share that I rarely have headaches and neck pain and I am here to help you achieve that as well.
In my day to day life, you can find me working as a physical therapist at Concussion Care Centre of Virginia. There, I specialize in treating patients primarily with headaches and neck pain after a concussion or whiplash injury. I also treat other conditions, but most of my practice is centered around helping those with headaches and neck pain. I hope to do the same here by sharing some of my expertise with you!
